Connecticut Sun at New York Liberty

  • Leg 1: New York Liberty -7 (-110)
  • Leg 2: Over 156.5 Total Points (-112)
  • Leg 3: DiJonai Carrington To Score 10+ Points (-168)

The Connecticut Sun (21-7) travel to meet the New York Liberty (25-4) at Barclays Center in a battle between the two best teams in the W. The Sun are 3.5 games behind the Liberty for the best record in the league. New York has managed a 14-1 record at home while posting the best point differential in the league at plus-10.3. The Liberty enter on an eight-game winning streak, too, the longest in the league.

The Sun have posted a solid 9-4 record on the road, while it checks in third in the WNBA with a plus-6.5 point differential. Defensively, Connecticut has the best mark in the league at 73.7 PPG allowed.

This will be the fourth meeting of the season, and Connecticut is still searching for its first victory against New York. The Liberty have won eight straight meetings in this series, with New York having covered all three meetings this season. The Over has cashed in five of the past six battles since Sept. 29, 2023, too.

These teams last met July 16 at Barclays Center, with the Liberty coming away with an 82-74 victory despite the fact the home side was a bit shorthanded, with Breanna Stewart rested before the Olympic break. Sabrina Ionescu carried the team with 30 points, including six 3-pointers, while adding six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

New York hit 44.1% (26-of-59) from the field in that most recent battle, while shining at 40.7% (11-of-27) from downtown. It was also a sparkling 95.0% (19-of-20) from the free-throw line, too. We’ll keep backing the Liberty until the Sun can turn the tables and start winning in this series. It’s all about the Over when these teams hook up.

For the Sun, DiJonai Carrington had a disastrous game against the Chicago Sky last time out, hitting just 2-of-12 from the field, while posting seven points. The last time she faced the Liberty, she was good for 13 points, six rebounds, and five steals. We’ll back Carrington to simply get to 10 points, helping cash the three-leg parlay.

Indiana Fever at Minnesota Lynx

  • Leg 1: Minnesota Lynx -5.5 (-108)
  • Leg 2: Over 166.5 Total Points (-114)
  • Leg 3: Caitlin Clark To Score 15+ Points (-450)
  • Leg 4: Caitlin Clark To Record 8+ Assists (-240)

In the night cap, Caitlin Clark and the Fever (13-15) look to stay hot against the Lynx (21-8) in a game that could be very entertaining at Target Center in Minneapolis. The game can be viewed on NBA TV.

The Lynx have played tremendous basketball this season, but they suffered an 81-74 loss in the Twin Cities in the first meeting on July 14, as Indiana won outright as a 4.5-point underdog.

In that matchup, the Fever hit 44.3% (31-of-70) from the field, while hitting 27.6% (8-of-29) from long distance. The Fever were an impressive 91.7% (11-of-12) from the free-throw line, however, while drawing even in the rebounding department against the Lynx. Minnesota managed to shoot just 38.6% (27-of-70) from the field, and 35.5% (11-of-31) from behind the arc.

Keep in mind that Olympian Napheesa Collier missed the previous matchup due to a left foot injury. Meanwhile, for Indiana, Temi Fagbenle continues to miss time due to a right thumb injury.

The Fever have won four of the past five games, while also cashing at a 4-1 ATS pace in the span. The Over has connected in four of the past six games, too. For the Lynx, they’ve won five in a row, while going 4-0-1 ATS since that setback at home against Indiana prior to the Olympic break. We’ll back Minnesota, with Collier back in action, and lean high.

And, like the three-leg parlay above, we’ll keep it simple. Caitlin Clark is a good bet to get to at least 15 points with eight assists. She is averaging 26.0 points and 9.5 assists in two games in August, and she has gotten to at least 15 points in seven consecutive games, while posting nine or more dimes in eight of the past nine contests.
