Manila Waterfront Philippines (WPI) has said that the new completion date for the reconstruction of its Waterfront Manila Hotel and Casino project will be in Q4 2025, with phase one of the project estimated to be completed by Q4 2024.

The update was disclosed by Acesite (Phils.) Hotel Corporation (ACE), a 55.70% owned subsidiary of WPI, in its PSE announcement clarifying the new dates regarding its project’s completion.

The current ‘Updated Timeline for Reconstruction’ showed that phase one will be completed by Q4 2024; phase two by Q2 2025 and finally phase three by Q4 2025.

According to the report, the redevelopment of the hotel-casino will include the “opening of four hotel-room floors in the main hotel to accommodate casino players and local staycation guests.”

Phase one of the project will include “public areas” such as the lobby, some food and beverage outlets and the casino area. “General amenities, guest facilities and the remaining rooms” are slated for completion in phase two onwards.

The Waterfront Manila was previously known as the Manila Pavilion Hotel before a fire in 2018 damaged its building, halting its operations.

Also slated to open in 2025 is Suntrust’s Westside City casino project in Entertainment City, Manila, sharing a neighbourhood with City of Dreams Manila, Newport World Resorts, Okada Manila and Solaire. This year itself also saw Solaire launch its new resort Solaire North in Quezon City
