Swedish Gaming Authority bans Small House BV from providing unlicensed games

The Swedish Gaming Authority (Spelinspektionen) has banned Small House BV from operating in the country due to the company lacking the required licence.

This decision aligns with the regulator’s ongoing efforts to ensure all gambling activities in Sweden are conducted solely by licensed operators, aiming to protect consumers and maintain market integrity.

Small House BV joins a growing list of companies that have faced similar bans in recent weeks. In June, Spelinspektionen banned several other companies, including Itsfail, Teamfail, MRSL NV and NewEra BV, for similar reasons.

These actions aim to uphold regulatory framework and ensure a safe and fair gambling environment for Swedish players.

In addition to banning unlicensed operators, Spelinspektionen has also been actively enforcing its regulations by imposing fines on companies found to be in violation of Swedish gambling laws.

In June 2024, Kanon Gaming was fined SEK 7m ($667,000) for multiple infractions, including inadequate player protection measures.

The Swedish Gaming Authority maintains a publicly accessible list of banned operators and revoked decisions on its website. By providing transparency and information to the public, the regulator aims to promote licensed operations and raise awareness about the risks associated with unlicensed gambling.

Spelinspektionen has stated that it will continue to take action against unlicensed operators to protect Swedish players and maintain the integrity of the gambling market.
