Cordish Gaming Group has appointed Bryan M. Prettyman as its SVP of Property Operations at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, ahead of its launch in Q1 2025.
Prettyman comes to the gaming division of The Cordish Companies with over 36 years of experience in the gaming and resort industries. He began his career in 1988 at Trump Entertainment Resorts where he worked in Casino Hotel Services, with other early career roles seeing him at Gold Shore Casino, Barona Resort & Casino and Carnival Resorts and Casinos among others.
In 2001 Prettyman became the Director of Trump Entertainment Resorts, before moving into the role of Director / GM at Treasure Island Resort & Casino between 2003 and 2007. He returned to the role of Director at Treasure Island Resort & Casino in 2015 following a four-year role as VP at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel between 2007 and 2011, before becoming Regional Director of Marketing of Choctaw Casino & Resort in 2018; a role he held for three and a half years.
His last role was at a different Cordish Gaming property, Live! Casino Pittsburgh, where he served as VP of Slots and Marketing from June 2022. Now, as SVP of Property Operations at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, Prettyman will be responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives at the $270m+ casino hotel, including initiatives for hotel, security and food and beverage operations.
The upcoming location is set to host over 1,000 slot machines, 40 live-action table games and a sportsbook within a 47,000 sq. foot gaming space, alongside over 500 hotel rooms and other amenities. Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is projected to generate $168m in its first five years of operations in gaming tax revenue for the state. Development on the property began in December 2023.
On his appointment, EVP and General Manager of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana John J. Chaszar said: “I’m excited to assemble a top-tier leadership team at Live! Louisiana to orchestrate the launch of our expansive new property. Bryan’s extensive expertise will bolster the national Live! Casino brand and cement Live! Louisiana as an unmatched gaming and entertainment destination in the region.”
In June, Cordish appointed Jamie Williams as Director of Sales for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.
