Total handle from sports betting reached $1.49bn, with more than 50% of revenue – $43m – generated online, following the launch of the first online sportsbook in the state last May.
Taxes collected from sports wagering were $30.3m in 2019. Valley Forge Casino Resort posted the highest sports betting revenue, totalling $24.6m.
While the sports wagering handle in December increased 8% from November to $342.6m, month-on-month revenue fell 23% to $11.4m, with more than 70% generated online.
Overall gaming and fantasy revenue for 2019 was up 4% year-on-year, with total revenue of $3.41bn, record annual revenue for the state.
December total gaming revenue showed a 3% increase to $291.9m, with Parx Casino generating $52.1m, the best-performing casino last month.
Sports betting in Pennsylvania launched in November 2018, which is now available at 12 locations and eight online sportsbooks, with Hollywood Casino the first to open.
PlaySugarHouse became the first mobile sportsbook to go live last May.
